Welcome to Kids & Teens In The Valley

Programs and activities for young people 6-18 years and their families.

Empowering Youth in the Derwent Valley

Our vision is of a future where all young people in the Valley know their strengths and can reach their dreams.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation based in the beautiful Derwent Valley, Tasmania, dedicated to creating a vibrant, supportive space where children and teens aged 6–18 can grow, connect, and thrive.

Through a range of free programs and activities, we support the social education, emotional health, and well-being of young people and their families.

At the heart of what we do is a simple mission:

To build resilience, create meaningful connections, and offer enriching opportunities that help every young person feel confident, capable, and valued.

Thanks to generous funding, everything we offer is at no cost because every child deserves the chance to flourish.

We acknowledge the muwinina people as the Traditional Custodians of the land we live and work on in the Derwent Valley, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise the enduring connection of Palawa peoples to Country, community, and culture across lutruwita (Tasmania).

At Kids and Teens in the Valley, we are proud to be a safe, inclusive and welcoming organisation. We celebrate and support the diversity of our community including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disability, and people from all cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds.
